Developer, Athens University of Economics and Business Department of Informatics graduate living in Athens, Greece.
I entered the marvellous world of computing at the age of 6 on a Windows 95 machine. I was immediately hooked! Spending time with computers became my favourite pastime and has remained as such ever since. When the time came to decide which subject I would study at university there was only one answer, computer science. Thankfully, I was accepted in to the Department of Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business.
My first programming language was Java, followed by C++. Over the years I’ve delved into many subjects such as Linux/Unix systems, cybersecurity, game development, android development, a bit of web development, and more. I would like to further explore electronics and embedded systems using C++ and Rust.
I’ve always had a fascination for puzzles, problem solving and automation. I find it rewarding sometimes to spend an hour to automate a task that would otherwise take 5 minutes to complete manually! (making it trivial, of course, if the task is to be repeated)
Other than programming, I’ve dipped my toes into image processing and 3d animation/rendering through open-source software (GIMP and Blender). I am also a gaming enthusiast with my favourite games being the “Monkey Island” series, “Path of Exile” and “Slay the Spire”. I enjoy watching TV shows like “Community” and “The IT Crowd” and love stand-up comedy!
